It’s those candid moments that I am always on the look out for when I photograph weddings. The stolen glances, the tears of joy, the elation and nerves. Being able to anticipate these fleeting moments and capture them is by far the greatest and most enjoyable challenge as a wedding photographer for me, which is why I spend very little, if any time directing couples for that ‘perfect shot’. The perfect shot is always there if I wait patiently. And there were plenty of these moments at Kim and Geoff’s wedding, at the beautiful Cottesloe Civic Gardens, followed by a reception against the stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean at the Indiana Tea House at Cottesloe Beach, Perth. The most rewarding part of my job is showing clients their images. When Kim saw these pics below she elatedly emailed me: “Wow Michelle you are a real talent, I absolutely love them and I couldn’t open my emails fast enough…everyone commented on how hard you worked, I really cannot thank you enough, we definitely chose the perfect photographer!” And that's what I strive for with every wedding I shoot.
