I haven't photographed an early morning wedding before, so, despite the early start, I was looking forward to Annie and Al's wedding. I woke at 3.30am (a nightmare about the power of my two alarm clocks failing woke me well ahead of time) while Annie began hair and make-up at 4.30am. The light at this time of day is a photographer's dream, so the early morning start was all worth it. The reflections of the Perth city skyline on the Swan River were a spectacular backdrop during the 8.30 am ceremony on the South Perth foreshore, which was followed by a scrummy brekkie at the Boatshed Restaurant. With all that water around, Annie and Al thought it best to take advantage of hiring a beautiful, classic wooden boat for a couple of hours afterwards - what a shame I had to come along for those perfect, must have shots!
