Hitting the right note
I spend hours trawling through iTunes trying to find the perfect song to accompany my clients' wedding slideshows. I am particularly fussy about the whole thing, but rightly so I think. If the music is too popular, it can dominate the slideshow or have a previous association to that song. Obviously the lyrics are incredibly important - I can't tell you the number of times I think I've found the perfect song in the iTunes preview, and promptly purchase it trembling with excitement, only to find the singer gets all fired up in the second verse and starts screaming out expletives. It has to also be the right song for the right client. I have gotten very excited about all the music I have used in my slideshows so far, but every now and then I come across a voice that puts prickles on the back of my neck and has my eyes all fogged up behind the Kleenex box. It makes me want to get married all over again just to have this music at my wedding. Julia and Angus Stone's The Wedding Song is this song. Her voice is like nothing I've heard. It was perfect for Allie and Joe's wedding in Margaret River. Click on the image below to hear it in the slideshow. It's breathtaking.
